Fast upgrade cycle OS X

So Apple decided to get on the fast update cycle for their OS X system. Every year a new version just like with the iOS version.

At the moment 30% of all Macs run Mac OS X Lion. This is reached within 6 months since the public release. Let’s say that within 6 months another 30% upgrades, what happens to all the other macs? Will they ever upgrade? Or they just go away slowly just like the PowerPC Macs went slowly away.

Improvements to OS X Lion

Let’s see how it goes and how long they keep supporting the current Lion version. because that one still needs quiet a few improvements to get on the same level of trust as Snow Leopard.
